Jewellery is our passion. At Marjo, we have been supplying beautiful jewellery to retailers across the United Kingdom and Ireland since 1984. Today, we are dedicated to building Marjo’s reputation for the finest timeless and contemporary jewellery, while showcasing our business ethos of care, love and efficiency.
We are highly-regarded for the sterling silver jewellery gem-set jewellery of our self-named brand, Marjo, but we recently expanded our distribution portfolio with two new and exciting brands that offer something different: stunning period jewellery in the form of Timeless Classics and minimalist designs with an architectural aesthetic by Vera Vega. Traditional values are important to us, both in business and life, and we are proud of Marjo’s long and trusted relationships with a network of global suppliers and manufacturers – many have remained unchanged since the company was first established. But our love for tradition doesn’t stop us from innovating. We are proud to support talented young and emerging designers, who we will be mentoring as part of a new initiative.
Our love of jewellery takes us far and wide and we already have plans to launch a new brand into the UK market with a unique carbon lock setting… watch this space!
We believe in the importance of a capable and caring customer service ethic and aim to convey our passion in everything we do. We look forward to serving all of our customers in the UK and beyond with our unrivalled range of jewellery.
Marjo was founded in 1984 by husband and wife team, Martin and Jo (Mar-Jo). After discovering a beautiful range of gemstone jewellery being produced in India, they began hand-selecting designs to bring to UK customers. In 1998, the Gris family took over the company and grew the business to become one of the largest suppliers of gemstone and sterling silver jewellery in the UK. After 20 years at the helm, the family retired from the business in May 2018.
Today, Marjo is proudly owned by the Perera and Saka families; close friends who journeyed to the UK some 15 years ago from Sri Lanka and India, respectively. Their shared dedication and commitment to jewellery is continuing the Marjo legacy as it starts a new, sparkling chapter.

With over 500 different designs and 50 distinct gemstone types, Marjo is proud to offer the largest collection of gem-set sterling silver jewellery in the UK. Our affordable collections offer something for all ages and occasions, from elegant everyday classics to bolder pieces for special occasions.
We are proud that all our jewellery is fair-trade and ethically sourced. We work with carefully-chosen manufactures in countries such as India, Thailand, Nepal and Brazil where workers in the jewellery manufacturing and gemstone mining facets of our supply chain receive excellent working conditions and fair wages. We – and you as a buyer – can therefore feel confident in the knowledge that our business is helping to support these individuals and their communities.
Some of our core designs are as popular now as when the company was founded in 1984, so these 200 pieces are available all year round. But we also bring out new collections every six months and regularly introduce one-off-items to enhance our range of earrings, necklaces, rings, pendants, charms, bracelets, brooches and chains.
Our classic pieces are designed in house to withstand passing fashions and are beloved by our customers for their use of semi-precious stones in myriad shades. Many of our items are available in a choice of five to eight stones, running the full colour spectrum from cubic zirconia, pearl, citrine and aventurine to turquoise, blue topaz, apatite, labradorite, amethyst and black onyx.
With so many different types of gemstone in our range, there is sure to be something to suit your style. Whatever you choose, you can be certain of its quality and integrity.
We are proud to distribute Dutch brand, Timeless Classics, to our UK customers.
Timeless Classics produces impeccably crafted sterling silver pieces that stand the test of time. Featuring both elegantly simple pieces and intricate statement items from authentic period designs, they are ideal for those with a love of vintage style and design history.
As its name suggests, Timeless Classics is steeped in heritage. When brand owner GL Nederland took over the silver factory of Royal Van Kempen & Begeer in 1984, they discovered an incredible treasure trove of over 30,000 original, well-preserved master jewellery moulds, all hand-crafted by the great designers of the late Victorian, Art Nouveau and Art Deco eras.
Timeless Classics is proud to use this incredible discovery to bring the designs of the past to the present day, creating instantly recognisable jewellery. While these moulds were once used to make hand-crafted pieces for the aristocrats and royal families of Europe, they now allow anyone to wear a piece of design history.
The 5,000-strong collection, which is still manufactured in Holland, is categorised by period – Late Victorian, Art Nouveau or Art Deco – and features rings, pendants, brooches, bracelets, bangles, necklaces and earrings.
Late Victorian-inspired pieces feature Swarovski crystals, freshwater pearls and black inlay, while Art Deco items follow the stylings of French jewellery designer George Fouquet, who was instrumental in shaping the look of the period. Elsewhere, many of the Art Nouveau jewels showcase long-established intricate techniques, such as champlevé or plique-à-jour enamelling, to create a stunning translucent effect. Whatever the period, each piece of jewellery is a work of art that keeps the Dutch tradition alive.
We are proud to distribute Danish brand, Vera Vega, to our UK customers.
With its clean lines, contemporary graphic aesthetic and versatility, Vera Vega has secured a legion of loyal fans and celebrity customers. Fusing minimalistic Scandinavian design with elements of pop culture and street style, its eye-catching designs are intended to be mixed and matched, appealing to those who want to tell their own unique story.
Vera Vega is loved for its cheeky slogan necklaces and pared-back signature sterling silver rings in various finishes, which can be combined to create individual looks. New designs and must-have items are introduced each season with the idea that you can pair these with earlier designs and create layers of jewellery, your way.
Founder and designer Eva Lund’s love of detail is apparent in all her creations, which often focus on a key graphic element, such as a spiral or an arrow. Inspired by her travels, street style, pop culture, art and architecture, her pieces often feature a personal twist.
The jewellery is popular with Scandinavian influencers and is regularly seen on bloggers Celine Aagaard, Hanni Gohr and Emilia de Poret, as well as on Danish celebrities such as actress Christiane Schaumburg-Müller, singer Szhirley, model Sarah Grünewald and singer Lina Rafn.
